All event bookings require a refundable security deposit equal to approximately 50% of your total booking cost, with a minimum of $1,000. This is held as a pre-authorization on your credit card through Lodgify — meaning the funds are temporarily reserved but not charged to your account.
The hold is released automatically following your event, provided there is no additional cleaning needed or damage to the property. No action is required on your part — Lodgify handles the pre-authorization process at the time of booking. If you have questions about how the hold works, feel free to reach out before reserving.
The hour limits shown above apply to event-only bookings where guests are not staying overnight at the property. Hours include setup and teardown time, so please plan accordingly. Events that run past the included window are billed at $200 per additional hour, agreed upon in advance.
If you're also booking the house for an overnight stay, event hours are more flexible — reach out to discuss what works best for your timeline.
All events hosted at our property require a valid event liability insurance policy purchased by the booker prior to the event date. The policy must list Deerwood Lane LLC as an additional insured, with a minimum of $1,000,000 in general liability coverage.
Policies are easy to get online in minutes. Two providers we recommend:
Thimble (thimble.com) — fast online quote generator, get covered in minutes, COI delivered instantly. Great for all event sizes.
ESP Specialty (espspecialty.com) — policies start as low as $110. Real Example A 250-person event with $1M coverage for 4 hours was quoted at approximately $300.
Other providers such as Markel, Travelers, and The Event Helper also offer event insurance. Proof of insurance and your COI must be provided no later than 7 days before your event.
Event fees above cover the use of the property for your event and are separate from the nightly lodging rate. Our standard rental rate starts at approximately $600 per night. If your event involves an overnight stay or multi-night rental, lodging is booked and priced separately.
